Here's the thing with trying lots of hobbies and sports but rarely returning to the same one over and over: You never get comfortable with any of them. From college through my 20s, I skied, pretty much, once a year. I loved it when I went, but my skill level stayed stagnant at a novice level. At 29, I reluctantly hung up my rental boots.
