Does anyone know if AA has changed their policies to allow former Priority travelers to obtain their status after maternity leave? I am a working mom who has struggled just to aquire Gold Status again after having two children in the span of 3.5 years. Would be a nice offer to working mothers who are back on travel to gain status back quickly - I am constantly without a seat or in the back as my male colleagues travel with status.

The best place to direct your question is AAdvantage Customer Service (call 1-800-882-8880 and say ‘AAdvantage Account’ from the main menu). ACS Representatives always consider individual circumstances and will be happy to take a look at your account activity and possibly suggest options that could help you regain status more quickly. They understand how hard it is to give up the benefits of elite status once you’ve become accustomed to traveling with them.
